Lee Craigie talks at Velocity

Lee Craigie became the British Mountain Bike Champion in 2013 and represented Scotland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, but the secret to her sporting success lies in her love of exploring big mountains by bike.

Fascinated by the places we can take ourselves emotionally by pushing our perceived limits, Lee's tales of adventure explore more than just the terrain she passes through. Join her for an insight into the euphoria and the darkness that can be found on an individual off-road 550 mile mountain bike time-trail in the Scottish Highlands.

There will be an Adventure Syndicate 'Bike Packing Kit show-and-tell' as part of the event along with a Q&A on bikepacking and Adventure Racing.

This event is part of Velocity's GoByCycle Project which aims to increase cycling, walking and lift sharing in place of driving. There is no financial payment. Instead you will be asked to pledge the number of miles you will cycle, walk or lift share instead of driving in the 4 weeks after the event and this information will be collected on the door. There is a simple website where you will be asked to log these miles.

Book your ticket on eventbrite- they are going fast!  There is a possible re-release of more tickets on Monday 13th March so check again on Monday if you find none available before then.
