The GoByCycle team will be set up for Dr. Bike in Falcon Square (outside Eastgate Centre) from 09:00 to 16:30 on Tue 14th and Wed 15th June 2016 as part of Bike Week. Come down for a free bike check, chat about cycling in Inverness and find out more about the GoByCycle project. We look forward to seeing you there!
Velocity's Dr Bike has been out fixing bikes around Inverness this summer doing minor repairs, bike checks, safer routes advice and 5 minute lessons. If you have something happening over the autumn or winter get in touch with email@example.com and tell her what you'd like
We have funding to work with you at your community event- whether thatis a rural community wanting advice on how to encourage more cycling in the community, or if you'd like Velocity's Dr Bike at your community event.
Cycle Friendly Employers
As part of the GoByCycle project we are offering workplaces sessions covering everything from bike mechanics to safer routes to get more staff using their bikes to get to work.
We believe that bicycles can bring joy to everyone, not just the youngsters. Riding a bicycle has myriad benefits both to physical and mental health; it increases fitness, reduces stress, helps you lose weight and gives you a fresh perspective on the world around you (its also much cheaper than driving a car or taking the bus to and from work!). That's why we're working with adults to get them feeling that they have the confidence and skills to make their daily commute by bicycle.
Our suite of services which we can deliver to your door include basic bike maintenance courses, Fix Your Own drop-in sessions, safer routes to work consultations and promoting social rides after work. We work alongside employees in initial consultations to understand their needs and adjust what we deliver to suit.
So far we have worked with staff at Raigmore Hospital, Scottish Natural Heritage, Visit Scotland and Life Scan.
