Over 90 music students and staff from the University of the Highlands and Islands BA Applied Music degree will be gathering in Inverness for the first residency of the new academic year in the second week of September. Coming from as far afield as Shetland in the North and the Borders in the South, as well as international representation students will be performing several concerts bridging several genres – rock pop, jazz, classical and traditional as well as their own compositions. These concerts will all take place on one day – Thursday 11th September 2014
- 4pm: Old High Church Inverness, Church Street Acoustic Concert
- 8-10pm: Mad Hatters Hootenany: BA Applied Music Open Mic Night – rock, singer songwriter, blues
- 9.30pm: traditional music session led by BA Applied Music students
All performances are free of charge
The Cameo lunchtime performances will help advertise the afternoon and evening Concerts in Inverness.
