Music | Cailtin Jemma

Caitlin Jemma is a young folksinger and bluegrass musician from Northern California where she performs as both a solo musician and with a band of musicians who play fiddle, mandolin, and banjo. She has earned comparisons to artists such as Gillian Welch, Carrie Ann Hearst, and Emmylou Harris, some of her personal influences. Caitlin has a unique voice and serious pipes, unafraid to use them, well-written songs, and great stage presence. She has gained popularity through her tours in the Western U.S., Ireland and England, and her music is sure to bring the audience a good down-home country feeling.

"Caitlin has a way with words, telling tales of magical forests and the like. Her voice is clear as a mountain stream with a bit of backwoods twang hinting at roots in the Appalachians... She draws inspiration from old country songs, something you hear in the sweet harmonies that recur on her record. She strums a guitar on some songs, a mandolin on others; I particularly like the banjo tunes." -Bob Doran, North Coast Journal
