Laurence Made Me Cry is folk-pop songstress Jo Whitby, currently based in the Highlands of Scotland. There’s an odd familiarity about Whitby’s music. Her songs bring with them a sense of timelessness and warmth like meeting up with an old friend. Her debut album 'The Diary Of Me' gained support from the likes of BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music as well as picking up a Welsh Music Prize nomination in 2013. Currently working on her second album 'Titans' Daughters', the record will feature guest contributions from artists such as Rachel Sermanni and Andrew Montgomery.

“Although tear-stained and tender this is redemptive music to make your heart sing. As intense experiences go this is one worth immersing yourself in. Simply gorgeous.” - Dave Owens, Western Mail
