Calling all artists and creatives! Do you have lightly-used or new art materials that have been collecting dust? Are you needing to have a good clear out? Do you have items that are too good to throw away and that could be passed on to others and put to good use?

Velocity Café & Bicycle Workshop in collaboration with the Circular Arts Network (CAN) are hosting a FREE arts materials swap event! Join us on Saturday 18th March from 11am - 3pm in the Gym Hall at Wasps Inverness Creative Academy. An art materials swap is an event where creatives can trade and pass on new and gently-used art supplies to share with fellow creatives.

The Circular Arts Network (CAN) is an online platform (basically a Gumtree for the arts) that supports a circular economy within the arts. We want to encourage artists and creatives to start using CAN in the Highlands as it is a massively underused resource! It's free to sign up, you can do it here ahead of the event.

For our art materials swap event in Inverness, we invite you to join other artists and creatives in the community by sharing and swapping your unwanted and perfectly good art supplies! Prevent your unused goods from going to landfill, help others save money, and allow your products to be used to their fullest potential. Art materials drop-off times are Friday 17th March (2-4pm) and the day of the art materials swap event on Saturday 18th (after 10am).

Please also consider active forms of travel like walking or cycling to the event. And if you live further afield, why not see if creatives from your local area can car share!
