Come along to our climate book group at Velocity Café!

The Climate Book Group is a sociable book group interested in reading books around environmental and climate topics and gathering together once a month at Velocity Café to discuss.

The Climate Book Group is led and facilitated by PhD researcher Ingrid Brubaker from the University of the Highlands & Islands.

Please read the chosen book before attending the session so that you can contribute to the discussion. You are welcome to source your own copy or the books are all available on request from High Life Highland Libraries. Click here to find your local High Life Highland Library. A hot drink of your choice will be provided between 6.30-7pm.

This event is a part of the Highlands & Islands Climate Festival, a month long celebration of localism and community engagement with a focus on climate action taking place across the Highlands & Islands.

Throughout September we plan to host a number of events here at Velocity Café, as well as partnering with other venues in Inverness, supporting and celebrating Community Climate Action.

How the tickets work - Pay What You Can

Tier A - Standard Ticket - £6 - covers cost of hot drink, partial facilitator and venue costs.

Tier B - Subsidised Ticket - £4 - covers cost of hot drink.

All ticket prices include booking fees.

You can join one or all of the book group sessions but please sign up on Ticket Tailor each time. There are limited spaces for the session so please only book if you are able to attend. This event is supported by funding provided by the Highland Community Waste Partnership.
This book group is part of the Highland Community Waste Partnership and is supported by High Life Highland Libraries and UHI.

Photography: We will also take photographs during the session for sharing on social media and reporting purposes. By signing up, you are giving consent to having your photo taken. If you are not comfortable having your photograph taken, please let us know.

Attendance & cancellation policy: Please only book a ticket if you know you are able to attend. If your plans change, you must cancel your ticket and let us know with at least 48 hours notice of the event start time so that others can attend.
