Join us for a felting workshop at the Velocity café!
This month for our visible mending workshop Katharine Sharp of Achpopuli Farm and Highland Wool CIC will be showing us some tips and tricks when it comes to needle felting.
Katharine will cover basic needle felting and then we’ll enjoy doing some felting together. All levels of experience are welcome.
Please bring along something wool based to make a patch on, e.g a jumper/jacket. Alternatively bring along something woolly with small holes in it that can be closed up with the felting. If you have some wool, or any fun shaped biscuit cutters to make different shapes you would like to bring that would be great too.
We will be mending in an open, sociable and informal space where you can have a blether and enjoy visible mending. A hot drink of your choice will be provided between 6.30pm and 7pm.
How the tickets work - Pay What You Can
Tier A - Standard Ticket - £8 - covers cost of hot drink, partial workshop costs & puts small amount to subsidised places.
Tier B - Cost Price Ticket - £6 - covers cost of hot drink and partial workshop costs.
Tier C - Subsidised Ticket - £4 - covers cost of hot drink.
All ticket prices include booking fees.
There are limited spaces for the workshop so please only book if you are able to attend. This event is supported by funding provided by the Highland Community Waste Partnership.
NB: One requirement of the funding is that we collect feedback from participants about the event. You will be asked to fill out a feedback form at the end of the session.
Photography: We will also take photographs during the session for sharing on social media and reporting purposes. By signing up, you are giving consent to having your photo taken. If you are not comfortable having your photograph taken, please let us know.
Attendance & cancellation policy: Please only book a ticket if you know you are able to attend. If your plans change, you must cancel your ticket and let us know with at least 48 hours notice of the event start time so that others can attend.
