Join us for a ‘Growing Food in Containers & Small Spaces’ workshop at the Velocity café with Fuggo King!

Fuggo King has been growing food in ever larger spaces, but got started in a tiny garden with some pots of tree seedlings. Now she gets hazelnuts from some of the trees, but also knows you can grow a lot on a windowsill, balcony or small courtyard. 

Join us for this workshop exploring what you can grow with the space you have, as well as some money saving tips and ways to enjoy making use of your growing space.

No growing experience or materials to bring along necessary but if you could come with an idea of the growing space you do have available, in order to share and discuss with the group that would be great.

A hot drink of your choice will be provided between 6.30-7pm. The workshop will start at 7pm.

How the tickets work - Pay What You Can:

Tier A - Standard Ticket - £8 - covers cost of hot drink, partial workshop costs & puts small amount to subsidised places.

Tier B - Cost Price Ticket - £6 - covers cost of hot drink and partial workshop costs.

Tier C - Subsidised Ticket - £4 - covers cost of hot drink.

All ticket prices include booking fees.

There are limited spaces for the workshop so please only book if you are able to attend. This event is supported by funding provided by the Highland Community Waste Partnership.

NB: One requirement of the funding is that we collect feedback from participants about the event. You will be asked to fill out a feedback form at the end of the session.

Photography: We will also take photographs during the session for sharing on social media and reporting purposes. By signing up, you are giving consent to having your photo taken. If you are not comfortable having your photograph taken, please let us know.

Attendance & cancellation policy: Please only book a ticket if you know you are able to attend. If your plans change, you must cancel your ticket and let us know with at least 48 hours notice of the event start time so that others can attend.
