Join us on our weekly social ride to ride with a group of friendly, welcoming folk- no lycra required, and nobody ever left behind.

Meeting at Velocity for a 10am setting off time, this ride ventures out over the Kessock Bridge and taking in the shore road along North Kessock before heading up under the A9 and over the hill to Munlochy. The return leg is a flatter affair, taking gentle rolling roads around rather than the direct route over the hill. A short, fun descent leads to re-joining Cycle Route 1 alongside the A9 and the journey back to Inverness.

This route is a mix of flat and hilly sections. The total ride distance is approx. 27km (17miles) and will take around 2.5 hrs to complete with stops. You can expect an average pace of around 15km/hr (10mph) on this ride.

No booking required, but please ensure you have completed an Emergency Contact Form before your first ride with us. While our social rides are led by trained volunteers, it’s important for participants to be confident and capable independent riders.

As with all outdoor activities, it is important that you attend well prepared. We recommend you check up on the weather forecast before heading out, and bring warm layers, gloves, and waterproofs even if it looks nice. Please also ensure you have something to drink and eat for the journey. We strongly recommend you wear a helmet and bring a set of charged lights - particularly at this time of year.
