Calling all UHI art students, alumni and all student artists and creatives! Do you have lightly-used or new art materials that have been collecting dust? Are you needing to have a good clear out? Do you have items that are too good to throw away and that could be passed on to others and put to good use?

Velocity Café & Bicycle Workshop in collaboration with the University of the Highlands & Islands (UHI) Inverness are hosting a FREE art materials swap event! Join us on Wednesday 8th May from 11am - 2pm in the Art Breakout area on the 2nd floor of the UHI Inverness Campus building - for both drop off and the event. An art materials swap is an event where creatives can trade and pass on new and gently-used art supplies to share with fellow creatives.

For our art materials swap event at UHI Inverness, we are inviting current UHI art students, alumni art students, as well as other artists and creatives in the UHI community to share and swap your unwanted and perfectly good art supplies! Prevent your unused goods from going to landfill, help others save money, and allow your products to be used to their fullest potential. 

Art materials DROP OFF will be Tuesday 7th May 2pm - 4pm in the Art Breakout area on the 2nd floor of the UHI Inverness Campus building. If you are unable to make the drop off time you are welcome to also drop off any items on the day of the art materials swap event on Wednesday 8th May (after 10am). 

We welcome all current UHI art students to come along between 2pm - 3pm on Wednesday 8th May, at the end of the event, to help themselves to the materials that are still remaining. Any art materials leftover will NOT be thrown in landfill, but will be donated to the most appropriate place.
